24,000-square-meter red carpet for the National Day Parade on Oct 1, 2019, was recycled from more than 400,000 waste water bottles. The carpet is made of recycled polyester and woven with special yarn for carpets. It is flame retardant, stain resistant and UV resistant. Yangxin LongfuHuaneng, the manufacturer of this' flag red 'carpet, is the first company in China to put forward the construction of waste plastic recycling system, and through the' Belt and Road 'initiative, moved two polyester production lines with a total capacity of 15,000 tons to Pakistan, invested equipment and technology, and cooperated with Pakistani companies to establish blanket production and processing bases, which not only reduced production costs, but also consolidated the market."
